S.R. 3 / Main Street
Rushville, Indiana
Reconstruction of 1.7 miles of S.R. 3/Main Street in Rushville was urgently needed due to the deteriorated condition of the pavement subbase, substandard curbs, poor sidewalks and traffic congestion. Our goal was to upgrade cross-sectional elements and increase roadway capacity, while enhancing safety for vehicles and pedestrians.
This project included total pavement reconstruction to provide for a new two-way left-turn lane. Also, new curb and gutters, storm sewers, sidewalks, traffic signals, signage and an ornamental tree package were included in the project.
Certified Engineering was responsible for: project management; road design; bridge design; drainage design; traffic signal design; signing design; pavement marking design; erosion control; and maintenance of traffic.
